Simply English is an Amsterdam based language school which specialises in teaching conversational Engish to speakers of other languages. Students can start at A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 levels (beginners to proficient) and can take either private or group lessons. Lessons take place at students' homes, schools or workplaces in and around Amsterdam, or at the teacher's own home. The aim is to allow students to learn and practise speaking English in an informal and friendly environment.

All students are given a 30 minute intake interview to establish their level and individual needs, after which they choose a course of lessons. The courses utilise worksheets, selected textbooks and a wide range of audio-visual aids. Students are individually consulted at the start of their course as to any special topics they would like to cover, following which the teacher will provide lessons based on these requests. The aim of the lessons is always to have the students speaking as much as possible, with the teacher encouraging and correcting where necessary.

Some students may prefer private lessons. Since conversation is best practised in a group Simply English also attempts to group students of similar abilities together where possible for group sessions.
